Opening Doors Northwest Florida is interested in launching a Youth Action Board (YAB).
What is a YAB?
The Youth Action Board (YAB) will be composed of a group of exceptional Youth Volunteers 18 to 24 that will meet on a regular basis to offer guidance, and plan and approve projects that combat youth homelessness. YAB aspires to be agents of change using lived experiences of homelessness as a tool to bridge the gaps between homelessness and quality of care for all youth 16-24 years living in either Escambia or Santa Rosa County.
If you are interested in using your experience and/or expertise to guide efforts to end youth homelessness in our community, please join this meeting to assist in the development phase of a YAB for our local continuum of care. We encourage all agencies who serve the homeless youth population to attend this workshop including government, law enforcement, judges, education, foster programs, military, employment, LGBTQ youth, non-profit youth organizations, public housing authorities, racially and culturally responsive organizations…
