August 2022 Updates
Lauren Meadors Clark has begun work this month as Family Promise’s first Executive Director!
Other Updates:
- Temporary offices are with United Ministries (257B E. Lee Street).
- A Day Center “hub” has been secured, thanks to REAP! (7008 N. Palafox).
- Lauren and Board members are available to make presentations for congregations, businesses, and other organizations who would like to learn more. Additional sites are needed to host up to 4 families/14 people maximum (we will start with one or two families!). Families typically move every 1-2 weeks to a new host site (what is needed is a space; beds, bedding, support from supper until breakfast is provided through FPEC; each family stays together – in a Sunday School room, fellowship hall, conference room, etc.).
- Volunteers are needed for multiple roles, and donations of funds and supplies are welcomed!
