To support partnerships between public health authorities, homeless service systems, and other partners at the local level, and the vulnerable households served, HUD and its partners are issuing guidance from subject matter experts on best practices and lessons learned.

This resource digest for homeless providers contains recently published materials from HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) and its national, state, and local partners.

Upcoming Federal Partner Webinar

Special Considerations for PrEP Care Among People Experiencing Homelessness – December 1, 2023 – 12:00 PM ET – HealthHIV is hosting this webinar as part one of the two-part webinar series “PrEP for People Experiencing Homelessness: From Outreach to Adherence” to educate healthcare professionals on delivering equitable and individualized PrEP care to people experiencing homelessness (PEH) and improving PrEP uptake and adherence among PEH. During the first webinar, two experts will discuss the unique challenges, opportunities, and strategies for outreach and engagement of PEH in PrEP services. The experts will share model practices, highlight patient case examples, and discuss strategies for engaging PEH in PrEP, such as PrEP medication adherence and persistence, adherence to medical appointments, and addressing common comorbidities.
