HMIS 102 Homeless Management Information System (HMIS): Policies and Procedures
The Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is the software used to collect client-level data and information about housing and service delivery to homeless and at-risk program participants.
This meeting will introduce agencies to the HMIS Policies and Procedures, which must be followed by HMIS-participating agencies and their new/returning users. In addition, the meeting will provide an overview of current program-specific requirements for HUD and the other federal partners.
HMIS policies and procedures are the rules and guidelines that govern the HMIS operations, with an emphasis on protecting the privacy and security of client information. The goal of HMIS policies and procedures is to define roles and responsibilities, implementation requirements, and data collection methodology.
