Summer is a time for many of us to unwind and relax in the sun with family and friends. However, for our unsheltered neighbors, this season can be not only miserable but also dangerous. The scorching heat poses severe health risks, making it an incredibly challenging time for those without a roof over their heads.
Dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, exposure-related illnesses, and infections are just a few of the many dangers faced by individuals experiencing homelessness in Florida’s summer heat.
Now through the end of June, we are calling for your support in alleviating these risks. By making a donation, you can provide vital resources such as water, food, sunscreen, bug spray, and first aid kits to help protect our most vulnerable neighbors during the brutal summer months.
Will you join us in helping our unsheltered neighbors beat the heat?
