
Everyone Counts! National Street and Shelter Point-in-Time (PIT) Count
WE NEED 100 VOLUNTEERS FAST!
Recruiting volunteers for the annual Point and Time Count and the You-Count Homeless Connect Event.
About The Point-in-Time (PIT) count
The Point-in-Time (PIT) count is a collaborative effort led by Opening Doors Northwest Florida to conduct a two-county census of people experiencing homelessness. An accurate PIT count helps bring in resources to both Escambia and Santa Rosa County to address homelessness and housing.
Volunteers are needed during the days of January 24th, 25th and 26th, 2023 to help with the Point in Time Count and the You-Count Homeless Connect event.
Point in Time count survey teams will be going out to various locations across the two counties. The registration form allows you to select a preferred location.
Click on “Sign up to Volunteer’ to register. (Must be at least 18 or older to volunteer)
Registered volunteers are required to attend a training. Training dates are available on the registration form.

About You-Count Homeless Connect Event
This is a separate event from the Point in Time Count.

Since 2010, Opening Doors Northwest Florida, has provided a one day service fair for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Escambia County. Community work together to provide necessary no cost services for the homeless to help improve their quality of life now, as well as access to all the tools necessary to rebuild what they have lost and to move forward in obtaining stable housing and achieving self-sufficiency.
